Arisse Tauv (She/They) is a dancer, DJ, teacher, community leader and event producer based on Gadigal Land, Eora Nation. As a dancer, personal dance style has evolved over the years based on her love for different street dance styles. In addition to dance, she is also establishing herself as a DJ and continuing to expand her musical understanding in the hopes of finding her own personal sounds and style.
She was also recently named Finalist for the 2020 Women of the Year Award for the Canterbury-Bankstown Council for her work in the community.

Arisse is a professional DJ with over 7years of experience. Originally making her rounds in the underground Street Dance Battles Scene as a resident DJ for events such as Ladies Night, Hip Hop Showdown and Waack Your Way, she has since then expanded her skills and musical selection to spin at parties, public and private events, and corporate events.
She is a resident DJ at dance battle events such as Ladies Night, Hip Hop Showdown and Waack Your Way, and is known for her understanding of a range of genres.
She is known for her understanding of a range of genres spanning from R&B, Soul, Hip Hop, Funk, Disco to your current Top 40s.
Dancer/choreographer
Arisse has over 13 years of dance experience and 6 years of teaching. She has continuously worked on her craft by learning from both local and international dancers in a variety of different Street Dance styles, mainly focusing on Hiphop Freestyle. She has represented Australia in numerous competitions in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Korea, Taiwan and Singapore.
She continues to support and build the next generation of dancers through teaching classes and workshops at local schools and universities and teaching street classes for everyone to join.

Arisse is President/Director of the non-profit organisation, Destructive Steps Dance Association, that runs programs and workshops for youth and young adults, and works closely with councils and organisations to produce and curate events and programs.

Arisse is also the Festival Director of Australia’s largest Street Dance Festival, Destructive Steps, which is now in it’s 15th year running and has provided a platform to elevate Street Dance and opportunities for Street Dance artists in Sydney.
